Cookies Policy

Effective: October 28, 2026

GYT LLC, doing business as The Get You There Tool ("we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on getyoutheretool.com (the "Service"). This Cookies Policy explains what they are, how we use them, and the choices you have. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember choices, and to measure and improve performance and advertising. Some cookies are set by us ("first-party") and some are set by third parties whose services we use ("third-party"). Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, can serve comparable functions, and references to "cookies" in this Policy include those technologies.

2. Do We Use Cookies?

We use a deliberately limited set of cookies. The Service does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your email address to use the matching tool. The main non-essential cookie we use is the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, described in Section 4.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly necessary / functional. Technologies required for the Service to load and function and to maintain basic security and reliability. These cannot be switched off through our Service.
  • Advertising and measurement. Cookies that help us understand whether our advertising is working and reach people who may be interested in our service. The Meta Pixel falls in this category.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles beyond what is described below, and we do not knowingly use cookies that are unrelated to operating the Service or measuring our advertising.

4. The Meta (Facebook) Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta"). When you visit the Service, the Pixel may set cookies such as _fbp and, if you arrive from a Meta advertisement, _fbc. The Pixel allows us to:

  • measure the effectiveness of our advertising and understand which ads bring visitors to the Service;
  • record certain actions you take on the Service (for example, starting the card-matching questionnaire, completing a match, or clicking through to a card issuer); and
  • reach people on Meta's platforms who may be interested in our service.

Information collected through the Pixel is shared with Meta and processed under Meta's own data policies. We do not send Meta sensitive details from your questionnaire responses. You can learn more about how Meta uses this data, and adjust your preferences, in your Meta account settings.

5. Who We Share Data With

The advertising and measurement cookies described above result in data being shared with Meta. Under certain US state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), this type of activity may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 7 for your choices, including how California residents can opt out.

6. How Long Cookies Last

Cookies are either "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. The Meta Pixel's _fbp cookie is a persistent cookie that typically lasts up to several months; the _fbc cookie, set when you arrive via a Meta ad, has a similar lifespan. Actual durations are controlled by Meta and may change.

7. Your Choices and How to Manage Cookies

  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies, or alert you when one is set. Refer to your browser's help pages. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Service works.
  • Meta ad preferences. You can review and adjust how Meta uses your information for ads in your Meta account's ad settings.
  • Industry opt-out tools. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).
  • California residents ("Do Not Sell or Share"). If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise this right through the browser and industry controls above, or by contacting us at the address in Section 10. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required.

8. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry-standard response to DNT signals at this time, and we do not currently respond to them differently, except where we honor recognized opt-out preference signals as noted above.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
